The Surprising Discovery
Life was pretty monotonous in the sleepy village of Oakfield. People lived in harmony with nature, following the rhythms of the seasons. The farmers tilled the fields. The children played outside. No great incident marred that idyllic life until one fateful afternoon when a local farmer called William Thompson dug up something that would change his life-and the village’s-forever.
While William was tilling, he noticed something that was protruding from the earth. He thought it might be an old piece of metal, like some discarded farming tool or part of some long-forgotten machinery. However, as he dug more soil and earth, what he dug out, left him speechless. It seemed like a shape. It was smooth and metallic, with markings that almost seemed purposeful.
For whatever reason, William knew he didn’t find just ordinary trash. His excitement started to run through his chest with a sense of fear, and he thought that what he discovered might be one thing that no one in the village had ever seen before. He had no idea what was going to happen once he reached for the object he recently discovered.
