The First Few Hours
The hours after birth were spent being erased in joy, exhaustion, and discovery. The Marine found himself enchanted by any little detail about his child: the hands were so tiny, the cries so soft, the way they nestled against his wife’s chest. And the feeling was indescribable-a mix of awe and a deep sense of responsibility.

And as he gazed at the baby wrapped in a warm, fluffy blanket laid tenderly across his chest, he couldn’t help but wonder how so small and fragile they felt beneath his hands. “Welcome to the world,” he whispered softly. For that, he silently swore to protect and care for with every fibre of his being.
His wife said to him that her husband cuddling their baby was a vision that brought tears to her eyes – a picture of love and camaraderie, a memorial to the journey they had together. She knew that they were opening the first page of a new chapter, one filled with challenges and joys they could not yet imagine, but she also knew that in that togetherness, they would face it as a team.
