Reuniting with the Distant Relatives
After returning home, the soldier made efforts to reconnect with extended members who had been supportive to his wife during his stay. He visited grandparents, siblings, and close friends and wanted personally to express gratitude to them for their care and love.
The baby stories, laughter, and updates are always associated with family gatherings. The parents of this soldier are very excited about becoming grandparents again, and they shared their memoirs of bringing up children. Their advice and encouragement meant the whole world to him; he felt that the relationship of families was important.
These reunions also presented the opportunity for reflection on his journey and all those who had supported him and his family through good times and bad. It dawned upon him that family ties, both nuclear and extended families, were some of the richest treasures of life.
