Tides of Inspiration
The story of Emily’s balloon and Clara’s finding spread far beyond the borders of their small town. Facebook posts shared with articles, and word of mouth spread the story out among neighboring cities and even into other states. Messages came flowing into this small town from all sorts of strangers who felt inspired to create some small act of kindness.
One woman, on the basis of this story, started to write letters to all those in her community, whom she considered had made a great difference in her life. Another man began blogging about motivating others to perform random acts of kindness and sharing their stories too. The simple ripple of the one balloon created waves of goodness.
For Clara and Emily, the influence that was growing was both surprising and exciting. They could never have dreamed that this little birthday balloon thingy could inspire so many people.
