Letters from Afar
Several months into this event, Clara and Emily received letter after letter from those who had retrieved their balloons. Some of them are children, excited to find a note; while others, adults, who were deeply affected by the writings and wanted to share how this experience touched their lives.
She got a letter from a man hundreds of miles away. Recently, he had lost his wife. He was walking in a park one day when he spotted one of the balloons. He took the message attached and continued walking. His letter reached them; it touched their hearts and began to make both of them cry; reminding them how much their little thing meant.
Each letter became a treasured memory of how far their story had traveled – not just geographically, but emotionally, entering the lives of every walk of society.
