A Chain Reaction of Generosity
The puppies’ story inspired more members to stand up. With the help of community individuals who organized donation drives in local businesses, many other individuals also began fostering animals that eventually are being sheltered to reduce pressure at shelters. The shelter, which had been barely able to manage from very meager resources, flourished overnight due to a rush of support.
One woman entrepreneur took an initiative to launch a social media campaign where others could join and share their rescue stories. This campaign was soon crowding lots of space in everyone’s timeline; tales of rescues from people belonging to all walks of lives, so sweet and warm. So it appears that the puppy story triggered a movement that was transcendental from the community at the local levels.
It amazed Tom at how stopping to get a box snowballed into this. Then he realizes that even an act such as this; stopping to get a box for someone somewhere, somehow impacts those people’s lives positively.
