Tom’s Reflection
Almost about to end the reunion, Tom paused a moment to look back on how he and every one of them had made their way into the scene. It all flashed through his mind – the initial finding of the box, the heartache he experienced at seeing the puppies, and the miraculous chain of events that followed afterwards.
There was already a lesson that could be learned about the strength of compassion and the taking of action even if the bottom line is not going to be guaranteed. Also, the ability to unite for a certain cause would reinforce his belief in goodness to people.
As Tom realized, puppies hadn’t only changed his life but had sent ripples across hundreds of thousands of lives in a positive manner. Their story was now the symbol of hope, resilience, and the transformative power of kindness.
