Transformation of a Shelter
That itself, thanks to the outpouring of support, dramatically transformed the shelter. New facilities were underway, including an ultra-modern veterinary clinic and a play area for animals with plenty of space. The shelter even started outreach programs at schools to teach the need to care for animals.
The staff of the shelter would often comment on how Tom’s decision to stop on the way for the roadside box had been the trigger of everything. They credited him with compassion and commitment for unifying the community and building a better future for thousands of animals.
Tom was still holding much influence in the working of the shelter. His unwavering campaign to speak for animals and relay the need for support to the public was always bringing in donations and support. The shelter even named a section of the facility after him, opening up more space for advocacy.
