Recovery of the Puppies
Soon, the puppies began to flourish under shelter care. Each of them possessed different personalities-one very playful and adventurous, and another almost shy and cautious. Volunteers in the shelter chanced to name the puppies after virtues: Hope, Joy, Brave, Love, and Faith.
Regular checkup with the veterinarian and a good nutrition diet helped regain strength for puppies. Now, the once dull and matted fur shines brightly, evidencing new changes in puppies’ appearance. They were also socialized with other animals and humans before their new homes.
Tom visits the shelter regularly to have a glimpse of the puppies. Every visitation was embraced with waving tails and clear happy barks. The knowledge that the puppies were in good and safe care gave him great fulfillment; he felt deeply connected to them since he was glad for having played part in their journey.
