International Consequences
The mysterious artifact quickly spilled out of the village to become an international news item. Outlets all over the globe were now reporting on the mystery, and so the world became fixated on the strange artifact. Documentaries were done, podcasts were talking about the origin of this possibly created thing, and books started writing about the new-fangled status of Oakfield.
No surprise there, however. Social media had a lot to do with spreading the story since people started uploading theories, pictures, and videos explaining how this mysterious object might be connected to UFOs and extraterrestrial life. People also flocked to see the object in Oakfield or catch a glimpse of the strange phenomena reportedly plaguing the area after its discovery.
The international attention to the village excited and frightened Oakfield. When visitors started trooping in, it brought much-needed business to shop owners, but it disrupted the otherwise peaceful flow of daily life. The village had now become some sort of curiosity, and its residents were starting to feel the pressure of attention, some wondering if their small town would ever return to normal.
