The Mystical Energy of the Object
Perhaps the most mystifying in the artifact was how it seemed to be sending out energy. Scientists were unable to find a pattern in the peculiar properties of the object. The electromagnetic pulse was continually confusing them. No ancient or modern technology could say how a material like this was possible without tracing its origin.
The object had an almost imperceptible influence on the surroundings. All electrical appliances that were within its close proximity would often malfunction, in that lights flickered and radios spat a cacophony of static when turned on nearby. The residents started complaining of feeling a certain kind of unease when approaching closely to the object as if it was exerting some sort of influence, invisible in nature, on them.
In this regard, scientists proceeded to be sure if the matter could represent something beyond the mere materialistic thing since it might unlock more ways to energy or even physics. Nevertheless, several villagers began to feel that the influence of the object was already affecting the peace of their village.
