Legends and Folk-Mythology
With the questioning going on, the villagers began to go on talking about the old stories that had been passed down generation after generation for such an artifact. The aged people could recall stories of mysterious lights in the sky and incidents which happened without any provocation or explanation. Some spoke of some buried treasure or mythical thing supposedly placed somewhere close to Oakfield.
Legend had it that some great disaster had leveled the village some centuries ago when some unknown flying object had plummeted from the sky and brought with it a curse that haunted them for years. These stories were passed on as just folklores until such time that the mysterious object was discovered, and many started pondering whether there really was an ounce of truth behind the ancient tales.
Some even interpreted the thing as a harbinger, an omen to remind the people of their past or perhaps even their future. The thrill was over-tangled with apprehension. Was it a boon or a bane? Was this something meant to bring prosperity to Oakfield or calamity? Such thoughts found themselves clutched in the minds of all who had seen the thing, and none of them knew the answers.
