A Growing Mystery
The more days passed, the fisherman could not get the glowing cave out of his head. He went to the place several times and made sure not to disrupt the serenity of the place. Each visit enhanced his interest in the carvings and the mystical glow. He started to draw the carvings on pieces of parchment hoping that he would understand the meaning behind them. The symbols seemed to represent a deep, ancient connection between the sea and the stars.
One evening, he shared his sketches with the village’s elder, a woman known for her knowledge of folklore. Her eyes widened as she examined the drawings. She whispered about an ancient tale of a “Sanctuary of the Seas,” a place believed to hold the wisdom of those who first navigated the waters. The fisherman realized his discovery might hold more significance than he imagined.
The older proposed doing further reference digging from old village scrolls in hope that it might give evidence to this linkage between the cave and legends. Her words sparked his enthusiasm again for the determination to uncover the truth.
