After hours of exploring, he knew it was already time to return. The tide was going to rise shortly and the passage would no longer be passable in such a short time, so he had to move. Reluctantly, he began to swim his way back through the luminescent tunnel one final time.
As he broke the surface of the water near his boat, the fisherman felt mixed emotions. He was grateful to have seen such a wonder but sad to leave it behind. The glow beneath the water started fading, as if the cave were retreating into secrecy once more.
He sat quietly in his boat for a moment; the experience would sink deeper into him. He knew that he had found something special, something he would carry with him the rest of his life.
