Drones Privacy Laws-
There have been significant privacy laws surrounding the use of drones because they are gaining fast in many countries around the world. Most countries have set rules on where drones can fly, what they capture, and how the material is utilized. These laws were supposed to prevent unnecessary surveillance of an individual’s private life.
For example, some countries have put in place the “no-fly zones” where drones cannot fly close to private properties and other residential areas. However, there are also places where one needs to obtain permission first before flying above a certain area or shooting individuals in certain scenarios. Such legislations would go a long way in completely eradicating possible cases of taking pictures of other people’s private moments without their consent or recording vulnerable scenes.
With the growing drone technology, the privacy laws existing today must be reviewed and delineated to conform to the current times. For example, the advanced features of drones-from their high-end cameras to the long range and their ability to fly autonomously-some may even capture people discreetly as they continue on with their daily lives. Hence, the solution that governments must consider while keeping others at bay by posing stricter regulations is that in a world full of drones, it is very much essential that people still get the liberty to lead their lives freely.
