A Private Collection
He then began thinking of putting together his own small collection after being motivated by his experience with the painting. Certainly, pieces of that rarity could not be expected, but it was hard to let go of more-reputation works by new artists. He came to realize that collecting art is not only about what money was given in regard to the relationships one builds with each piece.

He was going to galleries, attending art fairs, and talking with artists about what inspires them and how they achieve certain things; each work he bought told a story and added layers to his collection while enriching his appreciation of the artistic process. Art collecting became a very personal experience for him, where he could explore his tastes, emotions, and values.
His collection began to grow into the journey he was on—a mix of old and new, each piece mirroring a step on his journey. He was rightly proud over being able to curate a collection that was meaningful to him, full of works that also spoke directly to him and his heart. The first discovery became a passion, filling his house with the very same artwork, reminding him of the grandly beautiful messiness of the world.
