After Landing – Relief and Reflection
As soon as the plane came to a stand, the pilot and co-pilot took their time to collect their thoughts before speaking to the passengers. They extended congratulations and thanks to all for displaying such bravery on board. All the cabin erupted in a collective relief and appreciation for the teamwork that just saved their lives.
The passengers, shaken but safe, thanked the crew and especially the pilot. Many of the passengers were overcome with tears, realizing the magnitude of what had just occurred. They offered handshakes, hugs, and hearty thanks, recognizing that their pilot’s skill and bravado had turned a certain disaster into a survival, and then a triumph.
The passengers began to think after the fiasco over the experience. They realized that at a flight of an airplane every individual is the part and parcel of the aircraft’s crew so it was the each contribution of theirs that paved key to their survival. They went away from the place with a new respect towards professionals in the aviation industry but realizing that their safety lay with professionals who took their jobs very seriously.
