Healing for the Two Families
Reunion was healing not only for Alex but both families. For adoptive parents of Alex, a feeling of insecurity was initially felt. Would Alex’s biological family be keen on sharing their life? Would Alex’s loyalty change to their side? Yet, with time, Alex’s adopted parents realized that the institution of parenthood by no means had anything to lose from the return of a biological family. By giving Alex everything they needed, their bond was unbreakable. In this realization lay the unity of two different families into one extended, loving unit.
