The Reaction of the Family
He even found himself sharing with his family the revelations that came from the Word. They were shocked by the depth of the revelations because no one knew that his wife kept such things hidden from the world. His wife’s family was shocked too by photographs, letters, and dreams she had never shared with them.
The weeks that followed were filled with family members mourning the loss but also discussing the woman they all loved. They discussed what they had known about her, but also about things they did not understand. His wife had touched so many lives in ways he had never really appreciated. It was as if her passing had released the door to a better understanding of who she fundamentally was.
It was a bittersweet revelation for the husband: he finally knew his wife in a way he hadn’t known before; and because he knew the truth now, it reminded him of how much of her life had passed without their understanding, even that of those closest to her. Still, through these discoveries, he was beginning to find a new kind of bond to her-one that went beyond his brief time with her.
