A Journey to Margaret’s Hometown
With curiosity getting the better of her, Emma set out for Margaret’s hometown, a rural village some miles away. She walked along cobblestone streets, trying to find out how life could be. It was an emotional experience, bringing the letters out to life in a way she hadn’t expected.
She went to the local church where Margaret had married and the schoolhouse where she had taught briefly before starting her family. Those physical spaces added another texture to the stories she read in the diary. It was put into real life.
