Looking Back Along the Journey
He reflected on the journey he had been on and how much things had changed since first stepping into that pawn shop. It began as a simple purchase but it ended up becoming one that would give him the transformation to realize not only who he was but also what his purpose in life would be. He had shifted from being an amateur musician to becoming an artist because of a man he never met but feels that he knew very well.
He realized that Jack’s guitar had not only taught him about music but had also taught him about life-connection, respect for one’s past, and how to make something meaningful. This lesson had given him a sense of belonging, meaning beyond personal ambition and connecting with a deeper truth.
He would play his guitar, thinking how far he had been and whom he’d met. The strings would resonate with every time, like the rope hanging him tight to Jack, to the community, and to his fans who loved music as much as he did. He was grateful to every little portion of the road traveled so far because, through it, he became who he was, the person and the musician.
